No. Really? Woah. You totally blew my mind there. I really thought Lady Rainicorn was RD's mother! MY ENTIRE LIFE HAS BEEN A LIE!

Now, being serious: first, this was written WAY before the episode in which RD's dad appears. Second, her mother has no canon appareance, although some people speculate about one of the mares that appears with RD's dad in that flashback. Third, I have never heard of a mare that fits your description. Now you're describing Firefly, who Lauren Faust said was her mother, or at least what she imagined, but that's still fanon. So, a popular headcanon but a headcanon nevertheless.

I get kinda pissed off when people say I don't know something about the show. I take my ponies seriously, thank you. Then again, thanks for the comment. But this was a joke, and RD has no canon mom yet. The only ponies with canon parents (as in, with parents that had a clear canon appareance) from the main six are Rarity, Twilight, Pinkie and RD, but only for her dad.
